Many people are becoming motivated to join the clean-up effort as they see HLCL crews working full time on the lake, and observe how much cleaner the lake remains throughout the year. Many property owners cleaned up their own shorelines, boaters and marina owners picked up and bagged debris and put it into marina dumpsters, and many people on the lake, including the enforcement officers from Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Service, actively encouraged everyone to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Several organized volunteer clean-up weekends also helped including a large volunteer turnout for the Danville Day of Caring. Thank You HLYC! We all work from our homes, or boats, and enjoy working with one another and seeing our efforts pay off in very tangible ways. Please join right now by mailing us the information on the form together with your check. If you would like to know more about helping HLCL as a volunteer, please let us know by putting a note on your application or calling any of the League Officers listed on this web site. No special skills are required - we will train you and support you in whatever area you want to become involved. |
